Tran Thi Nhu Y

Please tell us about your role in JDT Vietnam.

I am responsible for “first inspection before production,” that is an inspection upon receipt of fabrics. I confirm the fabrics purchased before processing and determine whether the fabrics can be processed or not. If I find any problems while inspecting the pre-processing fabrics, I will stop the process. I will pass it on to the next production process once the products are approved. At JDT Vietnam, many different inspections are carried out that form the foundation of JDT’s high-quality manufacturing. Among these inspections, I am responsible for inspecting the appearance such as color and texture. Because I perform the first check in the production process, I am responsible for “100% inspection.” In other words, only approved products will be passed into the production process.

At work or in the company, what would you like to challenge and achieve in the future?

Proper inspection is essential for quality control of fabrics, but since inspection standards differ for each customer, I would like to actively gather knowledge and information. In this way, I want to perform the required inspections accurately. From a broader perspective, I think that accurate inspections before the production process will lead to a reduction in the number of defective products. I want to contribute to reducing such defectives called “Grade C fabrics” to realize quality stabilization that JDT Vietnam aims for. I had never been involved in personnel management before I became a manager. So sometimes I find it difficult to understand and harmonize the personalities and ideas of each section member, but I want to make a daily effort to take the time to listen to them and ensure that we can grow towards a common goal.

What are your challenges outside of work? What do you like to do? Any hobbies?

I really like to eat delicious food and I am also interested in fashion and beauty care. I sometimes go on trips on my days off, which is one of my favorite activities for refreshment. Now I am just thinking about new challenges outside of work. I want to find something good in the future.

Please tell us what JDT Vietnam means to you.

This is a place where I can grow. I am especially happy to be able to gain various experiences through my work. Sometimes things don’t go well or when I regret something I did and need to reflect on my past operations. But at the same time, I can solve problems and achieve good results together with my colleagues. I feel that the people I work with are like my family. For me, JDT Vietnam is the first company I worked for after graduation. I applied for a job here after my friend who works for JDT Vietnam told me about the company. My friend told me that the company offers good benefits and provides a comfortable working environment, and I realized that this was true after I joined the company. Another thing I feel proud of is the company uniform. People around me often compliment me by saying that the uniform is nice.

Comparing before and after you joined the company, what has changed?

Since joining the company, I have been able to receive a salary and have become financially stable. The first time I received a raise, I was overjoyed and felt that my efforts were properly appreciated. I have gained a lot of experience through my work, which I think has contributed to my growth. The atmosphere in the company is friendly and bright, and I have the opportunity to interact not only with people in my section, but also with many other people from other sections. I am grateful I have so many good colleagues.
